Lee Ricketson is a staff scientist at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL) in the Center for Applied Scientific Computing (CASC). He arrived at LLNL after completing his postdoctoral studies at the Courant Institute at New York University, before which he completed his PhD under professor Russel Caflisch at UCLA. His research focuses on novel numerical methods for addressing the high dimensionality and multiple time scales arising in kinetic plasma dynamics, with a particular focus on magnetic fusion reactors.
