Paola F. Antonietti is Professor of Numerical Analysis at Politecnico di Milano. She received her PhD degree in 2007 from University of Pavia. Her research concerns the numerical approximation of PDEs arising in various fields of Applied Mathematics and Engineering. She works on discontinuous and polyhedral FEMs, domain decomposition and wave propagation with applications to earthquake engineering. She is author of more than 80 papers published in International Journals. In 2015, she has been granted a “Scientific Independence of Young Researchers” starting grant funded by the Italian Ministry of Universities and Research. In 2020 she received the ECCOMAS Jacques-Louis Lions young-investigator award 2020 awarded by the European Community on Computational Methods in Applied Sciences (ECCOMAS).
