Sandeep Puthanveetil Satheesan is a Senior Research Programmer at the National Center for Supercomputing Applications at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He received his M.S. in Computer Science and Engineering from the State University of New York at Buffalo in May 2013. His final project was in biometrics under the guidance of Venu Govindaraju, Ph.D. (SUNY Distinguished Professor). He received his B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering from Amrita University, India, in 2009. Previously, he has worked at Infosys Ltd., Bangalore, and Amrita E-Learning Research Labs, India. His current interests are research data management, smart communities, computer vision, and image and video analysis.
