Biography
Berk Hess is a professor at KTH, Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm. He works on algorithms for as well as applications of molecular dynamics simulations. Since more than two decades he is a main developer of the GROMACS molecular simulation package, to which he has contributed many new parallel algorithms. Currently one of his main challenges is how to adapt molecular dynamics algorithms to the ever increasing core counts, using heterogeneous parallelization and acceleration.
