SUMMARY:Oak Ridge National Laboratory Storage Ecosystem
DESCRIPTION:Minisymposium\n\nOak Ridge National Laboratory Storage Ecosyst
em\n\nLeverman\n\nOak Ridge National Laboratory's storage ecosystem is in
constant flux due to the changing requirements from users. The ORNL Leader
ship Computing Facility (OLCF) manages storage systems that are dynamicall
y created for the duration of a job, storage systems supporting data with
a 90-day lifetime, and also storage systems supporting acrhival use cases
-- keeping data forever. These systems have capacities up to 700PB and per
formance up to 10TB/s depending on the requierments for the storage tier.
We will be discussing what the capabilities are today and what the OLCF is
planning for the next generation.\n\nDomain: Climate, Weather and Earth S
ciences, Computer Science and Applied Mathematics
