  talk we will present the data on how the healthcare ecosystem is taking a
 n integrated approach to distributed computing, what kind of problems it h
 elps to solve, and why. Specifically, we will describe technical progress 
 in industry and academia, based on recent activities of the “Share without
  sharing” global community. Dr Leila T. Alexander, leader of the “Share wi
 thout sharing” global initiative, Senior Scientific Grant Manager at SIB S
 wiss Institute of Bioinformatics and University of Basel. She earned her d
 octorate from the Department of Clinical Medicine, University of Oxford, a
 nd gained post-doctoral experience at ETH Zürich. In her current role, Lei
 la has developed expertise in data privacy regulatory frameworks, and in e
 merging technologies that allow for data analysis without combining them i
 nto a single dataset. Previously, she was responsible for the day-to-day o
 perations of the Data Coordination Centre of the Swiss Personalized Health
  Network (SPHN), the initiative dedicated to enabling nationwide use and e
