SUMMARY:Federated Data Systems: State-Of-The-Art Architectures, Methods an
 d Challenges
DESCRIPTION:Minisymposium\n\nFederated Data Systems: State-Of-The-Art Arch
itectures, Methods and Challenges\n\nHaus\n\nThis presentation will give a
n overview of current data sharing systems, categorize the landscape of fe
derated learning approaches (such as multi-party computation, swarm learni
ng, and sensor networks). It will also describe the challenges of trusted
code execution, in particular tying together end-to-end workflow security,
securing code and data in transit / at rest / during execution, as well a
s integration with identity and access management in an high-performance c
omputing environment like the EuroHPC LUMI system. Dr Utz-Uwe Haus, Head o
f Hewlett Packard Enterprise EMEA Research lab. He studied Mathematics and
Computer Science at TU Berlin. After obtaining a Doctorate in at the Univ
ersity of Magdeburg he worked on nonstandard applications of Mathematical
Optimization in Chemical Engineering, Material Science and Systems Biology
. He has worked as a Senior Researcher at the Department of Mathematics at
ETH Zürich, and also led the Cray European Research Lab in Basel, develop
ing the Mathematical Optimization and Operations Research group, working o
n data-dependency driven workflow optimization on future HPC architectures
. One of his current projects involves secure computing in the Gaia-X cont
ext.\n\nDomain: Computer Science and Applied Mathematics, Life Sciences
